While many emergency medicine programs use the Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) website, the University of Pennsylvania has its own internal application software called Oasis.

UIM Visiting Clerkship Program

 The Underrepresented in Medicine (UiM) Visiting Clerkship Program sponsored by the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, provides financial and professional support for talented fourth year medical students who are underrepresented in medicine, to participate in the robust Penn EM Sub-Internship.  

Accepted applicants will receive up to $1500 reimbursement for travel, housing, and application expense

Undersea and Hyperbaric Elective

The student will participate directly and daily in the evaluation and treatment of both elective and emergent patients who require hyperbaric oxygen therapy, as well as those undergoing consultation to determine if such therapy is indicated.
